Lockdown lifestyle
We’ve been locked down for a while, and it’s interesting how routines change (if they still exist at all), and priorities change.
I started lockdown with a fake commute, and lots of good intentions. I’d lose weight, I’d eat healthier, I’d make lots of long term changes for the best, but it slightly went out the window after day 3 or 4?!
What I have found myself doing more of, is reading, writing, singing, and housework(!). I’ve read two books, when I usually read one a year, and have loved using this site at last. It feels like a safe place to share my thoughts.
Singing has been something I’ve done for years, but I feel like I’ve sung more recently than I have for a few years. I’ve even dug out the microphone to start recording again (only covers – I’m not creative or musical enough for writing my own material!). I’m excited to record and share my songs again (if I’m feeling brave enough!).
Housework, well, has it’s pros and cons! I’ve enjoyed feeling on top of the housework for once, and getting in to a routine, but equally feel like it’s now always needing to be done to be kept up to a high standard!
